Here's my sugar cookie recipe. I can honestly say that somebody walked a mile one day for these! (okay, she was pregnant and had a craving for them, but that's beside the point! ~ luv ya, S!)
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour, sifted
3 tsp. baking powder
Cream butter with a mixer
Add sugar to butter gradually and cream
Add eggs, milk and vanilla to butter/sugar ~ cream well
Add flour sifted with baking powder ~ mix well
Chill for 10 minutes in refrigerator
You can roll out and cut shapes or roll into balls and flatten slightly on (greased) cookie sheet ~ cookies come out with a cake like texture and are excellent
Grease baking/cookie sheet
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes
*May be frosted or decorated when cooled
**Makes about 3 dozen cookies
