Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe
This is an old fashioned recipe that requires cooking ~ no 'instant' on this one.
Ingredients:
1 cup light brown sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla
1 8 oz. jar smooth/creamy peanut butter
Combine brown sugar, butter, sugar and milk into heavy saucepan. Cook to softball stage or 234 to 260 degrees on candy thermometer (can also check by dropping small amount into a cup of water ~ when it's at 'softball' stage, it will form a soft ball in the cold water)
Stir in cornstarch dissolved in small amount of water
Remove from heat
Beat well
Add peanut butter and vanilla and beat until smooth
Pour into glass baking dish and let set
Enjoy!

i love fudge -- my first attempt was a year ago and it was only so so. i definitely need to give it another try!
Hello Katy,
I actually have an old fashioned fudge recipe that I still need to post. It's the kind where you stir until it looses it's shine...which is actually quite a lot of stirring. LOL But, you can't beat the taste! You need to submit a recipe for my August contest, the prize isn't much, but still fun! It's at http://christiscollections.blogspot.com/2008/07/august-recipe-contest.html
Thanks,
Christi
